Keeping in mind that there are many distractions/attractions present in school, try this:- Set aside a day (Recess time) to hold a Bible Study or Discussion or Prayer in a busy part of school i.e. Bible Study in the Canteen during recess! We trust it would be a good exercise on being focused!

Be strong in your speech and courageous in your actions! Be prepared to proclaim your faith out loud. Form or join small groups during Recess, and intentionally start a discussion about Jesus and who God is to you.  Be prepared to share your own personal testimony too! Be enthusiastic, be bold, be wise!

Recess Revo during Exams Week IS possible & CAN be significant! Some Ideas You Could Try Out:-

• Give out free test pads
• Set up a 'Sharpen-Your-Pencils-For-Free' station
• Give out free chocolates (or essence of chicken??)
• Offer to pray for your friends, give 'em encouraging notes/cards, etc!
• And more!

Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you how you can impact your school through the love (of Christ) in action!

Recess Revo - Exams Edition!

The people of influence in your school are in positions to make many decisions which can affect your Recess Revo and ultimately your school as a whole.

Approach a person of influence or a person in authority in your school (Principal, Discipline Teacher, Head Prefect, etc). Tell them about RR and about this movement of LOVE. Share with them a list of things that your team plans to do to love your school more. You can even include making CF official as one of the things. Who knows what might happen? J

Gather together on Monday to pray and ask God for a RADICAL IDEA that will stretch your faith and impact lives! We dare you to take up the idea and do it from Tuesday to Friday! It might even be something “RISKY!” An idea: Wear a Christian T-Shirt to school (right after school ends or during P.E. period or during Extra Co-curricular Activities, maybe?)

EACH DAY, do something to proclaim your faith in Jesus! (Bring & “show off” your Bible, read your Bible out loud, wear a Christian T-Shirt for extra-curricular activities, put on a cross, etc)

Don’t be afraid to make a stand for what (or Who) you believe in – especially when a threat is made against you. Sometimes, it is when we’re tested (i.e. threatened) that our Stand matters the most!
 

For the next 1 – 2 weeks, continue your “Retreat” in order to sharpen your axe i.e. remain on the CUTTING EDGE! Step up in PRAYER and GET INTO the WORD of God. Meanwhile, your team can also plan for your next month’s RR, as you learn to increase in being sensitive to the Holy Spirit. Also make allowance for those whom God has placed over your lives to trust to do the sharpening.

Pray specifically, together as a RR team, for a renewed spirit towards your RR and School, so that you’re ready to be sent out when God calls. Focus on being fully charged up to be able to spread the passion of RR and the love of Jesus anytime, anywhere - when the opportunity arises! This way, you’ll always be on the cutting edge.
 

Are you feeling pressed down? Are you feeling unnecessary pressure to just come up with radical ideas every week to impact your schools? Perhaps it’s time to have a “retreat” time.

FOR THE NEXT 3 WEEKS, meet up in your Recess Revo groups to PRAY (instead of “doing” crazy, radical things for a change). Uphold each other in prayer. Pray also for your schools and the various needs there are. It’s time to STEP UP and rebuke the enemy with the authority that we have.

James 4:7 says “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

Let them know WHY you’re doing Recess Revo. (Better still, let them know why you’re a Christian!) Get creative! You can even print brochures! Get as many of them who “get it” to join you in revolutionizing your school together, by making a positive impact!

What promises/agreements have you made with your friends/teachers – that, perhaps, have not been fulfilled yet? Why not “surprise” your friends by fulfilling that promise! (A payment for a debt that’s long overdue? Something you told your teacher you would help with?) At the same time DO SOMETHING EXTRA for the person! (help your teacher to carry stuff, offer to clean the whiteboard, give a gift, etc.)

For ONE WHOLE WEEK (Mon through Fri)… can you & your team meet to pray in school, first thing in the morning, before the 1st class begins? We challenge & encourage you to do so!

If you haven’t yet started a PRAYER GROUP in school, we encourage you to start one with your Recess Revo team. PRAYER is a big and important part of Recess Revo, but more importantly – our lives as a Believer! Commit to pray as a group, at least once a week (i.e. in the morning before school starts?). Choose a day, and go for it! Watch how prayer can move not only “mountains” but God’s heart!

How about we dare you to say Grace for your food out loud during Recess, or offer to say Grace for your friends around the table? :)

Pray and ask the Holy Spirit if He would challenge you to do something you’ve never done before – (could it be to talk to someone about Jesus? Or Share your personal testimony to a friend? Or invite a friend you’ve never invited before to church? Etc.) – then, go and JUST DO IT!
